Ben came to Faith at age 15 and grew up in a ministry home. Sensing a call to vocational ministry, he left the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007 and pursued ministry training at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL, graduating with a B.A. in Youth Ministry in 20011. In 2010, he married the love of his life, Kim Tyler, and shortly after began serving in student ministry as a youth pastor in Rockford, IL, (2012-2018) and then as a Family Pastor in West Chicago, IL (2018-2024). In May 2024, Ben finished his MA in Ministry Studies/Interdisciplinary with special emphasis in New Testament Greek and Preaching.
Late in 2024, the Tyler’s relocated to Southwest Florida to escape the long winters of the Midwest and pursue a new ministry adventure with Compass. As a family, they enjoy spending time in the great outdoors and sunsets on the beach. Ben and Kim have three children: Asher (11), Nora (9), and Teddy (4)
